30th March is Land Day يوم الأرض,, an annual commemoration of events on that date in 1976 as a response to the Government of Israel's announcement of its plan to expropriate thousands of dunams of Palestinian land, in the pretext of Israeli security and for settlement purposes. On that day in 1976 protests and marches took place in Arab towns from the Galilee to the Negev.

To commemorate that day in 2012 and to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian People, please wear a keffiyeh, (Palestinian scarf) on 30th March. ON or BEFORE that date, post a photo of yourself wearing the scarf, together with any comments. We want to show the Palestinians that we support them and their bid for justice and freedom from oppression and the illegal Israeli occupation.
